Stationary Store 2007-03-15
A man browses the plastic folders in a stationary (pen, paper, office supply) shop while the woman working reads the paper. And I admire her for it, too.
My post from two days ago started an interesting thread about Shingo Mama of SMAP. Today it caught my eye that Governor Sonomanma, a former comedian, added his 2 cents to the view that the Japanese government didn't coerce "comfort women" during the "bilateral accord" between Japan and Korea (he also doesn't seem to agree that an invasion had taken place). Hmmmm.
Anyway, I noticed the headline because I thought I saw "Sono Mama" (like Shingo Mama), which made me think about how Japanese male comedians are always dressing like women -- and the identification with their mother's is quite overt, isn't it? But actually, he goes by "SonomaNma" making the whole point moot. Except I said it anyway. I did it so that I could include this link to some highlights from SonomaNma's show (the clip is hilarious, but the guy should stick to comedy and maybe read some better books).
And you can find all this information in most stationary stores, if you read the newspaper there.
