Cozumel Family on Motorcycle 2006-09-04

Congratulations to "Tully's Fan" for correctly guessing that yesterday's image was shot in Cozumel. I also took this shot (and the next few photos) in Cozumel. It's a wonderful place. Cozumel is just off the coast from Cancun, but it doesn't feel like a tourist attraction. There's no comparing it to nearby Cancun (or even Playa del Carmen). Cozumel feels like real Mexico (except for the street along the beach within two blocks of where the cruise ships dock). I loved the evenings, especially Saturday night when the nearby Zocalo (town square) filled with locals listening to live salsa music. For some reason, only a few tourists ventured over to enjoy the moment. On most evenings, when it started cooling off, we would see many families traveling about on motorcycles. I missed some amazing photos, but here are a couple I managed to get.
