Rhythm Guitar and Rest 2006-05-11

The high point of my visit to Yoyogi Park begins with this photo. I came across a pair of guys jamming on a guitar and a conga drum. They had a name (and a CD): something with the word "rhythm" in it. Sorry. At any rate, they were laying down a nice groove. What they were doing sounded so sweet that a couple of street dancers (you know, those young guys who twist and turn their bodies like pretzels) spontaneously came over and started gyrating on the sidewalk. All of a sudden I realized that it was a moment; and when that happens you have to open your eyes and enjoy it. Beneath the warm afternoon sun.. You can't capture a moment with a camera; you've got to soak it in. Still, I took a few shots while I was soaking.
