Dark Abstract Two and Disharmony 2006-02-23
Here's another dark abstract in the series started yesterday (or two days ago). I'll post another image or two in a couple of hours.
Yesterday as I was sitting in Starbucks an older couple appeared in the window. It looked like a husband and wife in their sixties. She was shouting at him, although I couldn't hear the words. Obviously, she was very angry, because then she started pounding on his chest and shoulders with both fists. He took a few blows and then started hitting her back. For a moment I thought maybe someone should go break them apart. Of course, people did the opposite and pretended they didn't exist. Anything else would be too shameful, I think. Anyway, they didn't seem to be hurting each other. They didn't seem particularly strong, and they were each well padded. At any rate, this culture isn't always in "harmony" (quite the opposite, in fact, but disharmony is usually kept hidden inside or indoors away from public view).
