Building On Life Support

Building On Life Support 2006-02-16

Two days ago they announced that pollen is in the air. They say it should be 50 times LESS than last year, so at least we've got that going for us. I'm okay so far, but Hitomi's eyes are itching. We'll both probably go to a doctor sometime soon. It takes time for the medication to take effect, and the pollen is just starting to rise. To make matters worse, the place that we're (working on) moving to is close to the mountains, so the pollen is much more intense there.

Speaking of moving, I taped together some boxes today and started packing. It's not like we're going anywhere soon, but we don't want to be super stressed when the time comes. I took apart our bed and from now on our room will be a staging/storage area. Fortunately, this is Japan. We just moved our double futon out into the living room. Probably half the people in Japan sleep in one of their common areas (many homes don't even have a separate "living room"). The good thing is they can efficiently use their space.
