Japanese Familes and Kids at Ueno Zoo
Ueno Park has several of the best museum/galleries in Tokyo, a (not so great) zoo with Pandas, shrines, tacky rides, street performers, homeless people and friendly pigeons. All in all, I think it's a great place to go on a weekend day in the summer and see a very mixed slice of life in Japan. If you bring kids, you'll enjoy mixing with many Japanese families and their kids out having fun together.
