Making Udon Noodles in Japan

Wherever you live in Japan you'll likely have a community center nearby. These are great places for connecting with people. Most community centers offer free or very cheap classes and activities of all kinds (including Japanese instruction). I signed up for an udon making class for men in my community. The cost was 1000 yen (about $10), which included lunch and 4 hours of good, fun instruction. Here are some pictures along with a running explanation of what we did (which you can see by clicking on the individual pictures).
