The beginning of a huge shrine complex near Odawara. Shinto believers, local lookers and sight-seers climb the stairs leading up the mountain to explore the many small and large shrines along the way. As they make their way along they stop to perform ritual prayers and donate money at whatever shrines catch their interest (or if they really have a big need, at each of them).
