When I first saw the group of men huddled around low tables drinking beer in the park I thought it might be best to steer around them. Then I saw kites on the ground around them and others, who I surmised must have been with them, flying their own large kites in the field nearby. Still something made me cautious about beer drinking men in the park flying kites -- maybe the images they had painted? Later I met one of the men, who explained that he learned to make kites from his father. He invited me over to his house and told me to visit his website. When I took his picture, one by one the other group members made their way over to me, perhaps with some light prodding from their friends, so I ended up with the pictures you see here.
