This is (or was) a photo blog of life in Japan and my ongoing attempts to figure out what's going on here.

I recently read this:  "An uncle of mine took me through the woods one day and showed me sights I had never seen before, although I walked there often.  Because my uncle always talked about what he saw, he saw more and more and was able to share it with me."

I hope that sharing my thoughts and pictures here will help both you and me to see Japan more clearly.

I moved to Japan in 2002 with my wife and daughter.  Eight months later our twin daughters were born.  My wife is Japanese and bilingual, but I couldn't count to ten in Nihongo when we arrived. 

We lived in Tokyo for eight years.  I started blogging about our experience here and then moved on to other blogs and projects.  See the link for my current blog in the side bar to see what I'm up to today.
